Let me preface this by saying I'm a gymnastics junkie. I was a competitive gymnast for many, many years and the love of the sport has never left my blood. Although I did not compete in college, it is still something I love to watch. I make an effort every year, even during tax season to get to at least one college meet every year.
This past weekend I was able to attend the MAC Championships for gymnastics at my alma mater, Western Michigan University. It was exciting to watch. Western hasn't won the MAC's since 1987. Competing on that 1987 team was their now coach Terry. She's a wonderful lady. I have had the pleasure of working with her before.
Anyways, the competition was exciting. Central Michigan looked good. Western looked better. Western had one less fall on beam then Central.
At the end, I knew the numbers were going to be close. But Western pulled through. It was awesome.
